Welcome & Congratulations!

The idea of raising a child and it “taking a village” can be traced back through history to friends, neighbors and relatives gathering in support of a new family. While I believe that every woman deserves to be supported during pregnancy and labor — as well as in her journey through motherhood — some moms-to-be may wonder if having a birth doula is right for them.

The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has explained that “…women benefit from continuous emotional support and the use of non-pharmacologic methods to manage pain. Support offered by trained labor coaches such as doulas has been associated with improved birth outcomes, including shortened labor and fewer operative deliveries.”

As a birth doula and mom, I know how life changing this time can be. Including a doula in your birth plan is the first step you can take towards building your support team and having the best possible birth experience.

As a doula, it’s both humbling and an honor to help families welcome their precious life into the world, as well as a mother and her partner to their new parenthood journey. If you’re still wondering if a doula is right for you, I’d love to hear from you and answer any questions you may have.

I look forward to supporting you!
